General Nadeem Raza CJCSC

General Qamar Javid Bajwa is the current Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan Armed forces. He replaced General Zubair Mehmood Hayyat as the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan Military on November 27, 2019. President of Pakistan Doctor Arif Ali appointed him as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan on the advice of Imran Ahmad Khan prime minister of Pakistan. He was serving as Chief of General Staff prior to taking over as CJCSC. He has served as the brigade major of an infantry brigade general staff officer (Grade 1) at the Military Operations Directorate, and chief of staff of a Strike Corps. He has been on the faculty of the School of Infantry and Tactics Command and Staff College Quetta and War College Islamabad and served as the commandant of the Pakistan Military Academy. Gen Nadeem Raza has commanded an infantry battalion and infantry brigade along the Line of Control, an infantry division in South Waziristan and the 10 Corps Rawalpindi . He has been awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) for his meritorious military services.

General Nadeem Raza was commissioned in the infantrys 10 Sindh Regiment in September 1985. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta and National Defence University Islamabad. He has also attended Company Commander Course in Germany. He is happily married and blessed with three sons and a daughter.
